1. Our Commitment to Children’s Privacy
- ADHDcare.online recognizes that information concerning children and adolescents deserves heightened privacy and security protections.
- The platform is intended primarily for use by parents, legal guardians, healthcare professionals, teachers, schools, and other appropriately authorized adults.
2. Children Under 13
- ADHDcare.online does not knowingly permit children under 13 to independently create accounts or provide personal information without any parental consent or other authorization required by applicable law.
- Where the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) applies, ADHDcare.online will obtain verifiable parental consent before knowingly collecting personal information directly from a child under 13, except where an exception permitted by law applies.
3. Information About Children
Authorized users may provide information concerning a child, including:
- Name or identifier;
- Date of birth or age;
- Grade;
- Behavioral information;
- ADHD symptoms;
- Assessment responses;
- Academic functioning;
- Social functioning;
- Medication or treatment information;
- Parent observations;
- Teacher observations; and
- Other information necessary to use the Services.
4. How Children’s Information Is Used
Children’s information may be used to:
- Administer assessments;
- Score assessments;
- Track symptoms;
- Compare assessments over time;
- Compare authorized parent and teacher observations;
- Generate reports;
- Display progress;
- Support clinical evaluation;
- Facilitate authorized information sharing; and
- Provide other ADHDcare.online functions requested by authorized users.
We do not knowingly use children’s identifiable health or behavioral information for targeted behavioral advertising.
5. Parental Rights
Where applicable, parents and legal guardians may request to:
- Review personal information maintained about their child;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Request deletion;
- Withdraw previously provided consent;
- Prevent further collection where applicable; and
- Request information regarding our collection, use, and disclosure practices.
ADHDcare.online may verify the identity and authority of the requesting parent or legal guardian before fulfilling a request.
6. Data Minimization
- We seek to collect only information reasonably necessary to provide the requested functionality.
- Users should not enter unnecessary personal information about a child.
7. Retention
- Children’s personal information will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected or as otherwise permitted or required by applicable law.
- When information is no longer reasonably necessary, it will be deleted, destroyed, or appropriately de-identified in accordance with applicable requirements.
8. Teachers and Schools
- Teachers should only provide information about a student when appropriately authorized to do so.
- Schools and educational organizations using ADHDcare.online remain responsible for determining and satisfying their obligations under applicable educational privacy laws, including FERPA where applicable.
9. Security
- ADHDcare.online uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect children’s personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
